Welcome

The ancient Greek philosopher Plato was quoted as saying "No thing more excellent nor more valuable than wine was ever granted mankind by God." This wasn't just some ordinary person making such a declaration, this was PLATO, one of the smartest guys ever. I must say I agree with him, which makes me pretty smart as well. Wine is awesome. There are 10,000 varieties of wine grapes worldwide which allows for millions of different combinations and varieties of wines to taste.

Therefore I decided to make a blog specifically dedicated to monthly tastings of 10-12 wines. In this blog my friends and I will taste a wine, present our opinions on it, and rank it within the context of the tasting. This will also give us the opportunity to discuss and learn a lot about wine and wine production as well. I am by NO means a wine snob and intend to include wines of all price ranges. (I definitely don't want to be accused of wine prejudice).

I think that the important thing about wine is that it brings people together to have a good time. I'm pretty sure it's close to impossible to have a bad time when wine is involved. So I am really excited about enjoying this experience with my friends and viewers. Here's to hoping one day we can all taste together.
